ODIN 9 Worlds(O9W) NFTs is going live on the Polygon network soon, the presale for whitelist members will begin on 30th March at 9:00 p.m. CET at 15 USDC, and the public sale starts on 31st March at 9:00 p.m. CET at 20 USDC. You will also need some MATIC in your wallet to offset any gas fees.

Before buying Odin 9 worlds NFT on Polygon, you need to connect your MetaMask wallet to the Polygon network.

If you’re wondering how to get your wallet set up and ready before the mint begins, check this step-by-step guide by Odin 9 Worlds on connecting MetaMask to Polygon Network.

(If you have any questions, we are available on our Discord server to help)

Let’s dive in!

Step 1: Install MetaMask Wallet

If you haven’t already, you will need to install the MetaMask wallet extension on your web browser. You can download the wallet here. Once you have downloaded and installed the extension, you can easily set it up by accessing your extensions.

To access your extensions on Chrome, type in chrome://extensions/. Alternatively, you can even access them by heading to the “Settings” tab.

At this point, you’ll need to create a new password and accept MetaMask’s terms of service.

The password will only be responsible for securing your MetaMask extension on that device and not your wallets. Make sure not to share your password with anyone. Once you’ve confirmed your password, MetaMask will show you your Secret Recovery Phrase, a list of 12 words used to access your wallet. The Secret Recovery Phrase is also called Seed Phrase or Mnemonic, and MetaMask requires you to store the seed phrase safely.

Note: If you lose your seed phrase, MetaMask can’t help you recover your wallet, and your funds will be lost forever.

With this in mind, copy the Secret Recovery Phrase in a secure place, and click Next. MetaMask will now ask you to copy the Secret Recovery Phrase to confirm you’ve saved it:

Congratulations!

You’ve just created your first MetaMask wallet and are now ready to receive and send crypto and interact withdecwith decentralizedations.

Step 2: Add Polygon Network to Your MetaMask

Once you’ve set up your MetaMask wallet, you need to add the Polygon network to your wallet so you can access it. We will open the side panel of our MetaMask wallet and click the “Expand view” option under the three dots on the top right.

Your wallet will open up on a new browser tab like this.

Head to the network dropdown next to the circular logo and select “Add Network.”

You will be redirected to a new screen where you can add a custom network.

You can also access this screen by heading over to the circular logo, accessing “Settings,” and heading to “Networks” in the left pane.

Now fill out the details.

Enter in the Matic Mainnet settings as follows:

Network Name: PolygonNew RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.comChainID: 137Symbol: MATICBlock Explorer URL: https://polygonscan.com/

Once you’ve added all the requested information, you can click “Save,” and the network will be added to your wallet.

You will be redirected to this screen once the Matic network has been added.

Step 3: Transfer Tokens to Your MATIC Network

Now there are several ways of transferring tokens over to the Matic network. But to do it, you would first need to set up your Polygon wallet. Head to the Polygon wallet and click Polygon Wallet to set up your Polygon wallet.

You will then be asked to connect your pre-existing MetaMask wallet, which you can do so easily.

Once the wallet is set up, you will be redirected to this screen.

To transfer your assets from Ethereum to Polygon, you will have to use the “Polygon Bridge” option. Head over to the bridge and select USDC in the dropdown list of tokens. Once that is selected, you can easily enter the number of tokens you wish to transfer.

Once you enter the amount, you will be able to transfer the required tokens over to your Polygon wallet. However, note that the transaction transactionfeesring the tokens can be pretty high.

You can also receive MATIC tokens from a fellow user by heading to the “Assets on Polygon” in the left pane.

Click on “Receive,” You will be given your Polygon wallet’s address.

However, do note that you will only be able to transfer these tokens from a fellow Polygon wallet user.

Once you have added funds to your Polygon wallet, you will be able to use various apps on Ethereum & buy O9W NFTs using the wallet without paying the excessive amount of transaction fees.
