Move from Geocash to Wallace
Dear Geocash users,
As many of you know, we have paused Geocash for the time being, and it will be returning later as a new product. However, in the meantime, we request all of our Geocash users to move to Wallace (deadline: Jan 17, 24:00), as it will become the central wallet for all of the reward systems we are introducing.
Wallace is not just any ordinary wallet; it is a data product that is on the front line of the mission to educate people about the value of their data. We have been on this journey for a long time, building solid relationships with traditional data consumers and DAAP developers who will be ready to use such solutions. Our team has been working hard to ensure that our users have a seamless experience and can safely and securely explore the world of blockchain and crypto.
We understand that the transition can be confusing, and we want to ensure that you can see your pending Geocash rewards in your Wallace wallet. That’s why we are a few more days to complete the move from Geocash to Wallace.
The deadline to complete the move is now January 17, 2023, at 24:00 (midnight).
We encourage all Geocash users to take advantage of this additional time to ensure their wallets are successfully transferred to Wallace.
To move your wallet from Geocash to Wallace, follow these steps:
- Visit the Wallace download page at https://download.wallacewallet.io and download the Wallace app on your device.
- Open the Wallace app and select the option to create a new wallet. Follow the prompts to create a new wallet and save the mnemonic phrase.
- Once you have created a new wallet in Wallace, you will need to add your Geocash wallet as an additional account. To do this, select the option to import an account using a private key.
- Enter your Geocash private key when prompted.
- Follow the prompts to complete the account import process.
Once you add your Geocash account as an additional account in Wallace, it will be linked to your username. This will allow us to add any pending, redeemable Geo amount from Geocash to your Wallace balance.
